Suwon University was established under the spirit of 'frugality, justice and creativity' which was the confucian values of Dong-Go Lee Joon-Kyung who was one of the most representative scholars in Choseon Dynasty. This is a specification of Hong-ik-in-gan which is the founding idea of Dan-gun, and forms a basis for fostering autonomous and proactive citizens who can fulfil self-realization and develop sound society.
