The major offers various theories about sports and leisure studies and physical training to the students upon the expansion of social demand for sports and leisure studies. Students are provided with theoretical courses of sports and leisure studies such as sports management, and leisure and recreation as well as such physical activities as tennis, golf, skiing, swimming, bowling and so on. The major aims to bring up capable leaders in physical education and recreation of the powerhouse of sports industry in preparation of social changes such as low birth rate, aging, multinational culture, increasing demand for social welfare. Students are to study theories of physical education and application of those theories to sports, leisure and physical fitness.
