The department puts a great emphasis on fostering vocalists and music educators with the ability to express their emotions and thoughts well and to teach musical theories on the basis of full comprehension of coordination of muscles and neurons, physiological rhythm, and psychological response in making sounds. It holds an annual opera to develop students’ diverse musical abilities. An opera requires various musical talents such as dancing not to speak of singing. To cultivate these talents students are provided with diverse classes and lessons for dancing, opera production, and acting. Students are also involved in other performances such as a concert for individual singing and chorus. The department also aims to cultivate good minds of students who can make a contribution to the musical circle with eventual goal of pursuit of truth.
