College of EngineeringCOLLEGE OF ENGINEERING
The division is designed to enable students not only to learn chemical and material engineering but also to acquire high-technology such as nanotechnology, biotechnology, and environmental technology. It also encourages to foster professional engineers with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills.
Polymer engineering deals with lightweight and highly fine functional organic materials, which can replace metals, and inorganic materials. The department provides education in a variety of areas related to polymeric materials, that encompass such engineering areas as IT, BT and NT. Students are trained to acquire knowledges and analytical powers, which will enable them to get research jobs and research industry products.
Chemical Engineering is the application of chemistry, physics, biology, and mathematics to the process of converting raw materials into more useful or valuable forms. More recently, chemical engineers are employed in the industries of nano-technology, biotechnology, and environmental technology. Graduates are well equipped to embark on careers in refinery, petro-chemical, fertilizer, synthetic fiber, textile, plastic, cosmetic, pharmaceutical, dyes, and paints industries.
